2SB817 Description

The 2SB817 is a silicon power transistor developed for audio and power amplification; however, it is not confined to these applications and can be used for a variety of other switching and amplification  tasks. It comes in TO-3P packaging and is a PNP   transistor. The transistor can drive a load of up to -12A and has a collector-base voltage of up to -160V, implying that it can drive a load of -160V. The maximum DC current gain is 200, with 100W maximum power dissipation. The transistor's transition frequency is 15MHz.
