BD679 Description

BD679 is a NPN darlington transistor available in TO-225 and TO-126 package. A darlington transistor consists two BJT transistors in a single package which are connected together in a way which results in very high output gain. 

 

The max gain or Hfe of the transistor is 1000 which makes this transistor ideal for high gain applications. The max collector current is 4A and the max peak collector current is 6A. 

 

The collector-emitter voltage or max load voltage of the transistor is 80V and the max collector dissipation of the transistor is 40Watt. BD679 can be used for wide variety of general applications of switching and amplification.
