Frequently Asked Questions

What is a BU407?
The BU407 is an NPN transistor with a TO-220 package. It's primarily intended for horizontal deflection usage in CRTs and TVs. The transistor has excellent specifications and features, making it appropriate for a wide range of various applications. It is excellent for use in high voltage applications due to its high collector to emitter voltage of 150V.
How to operate BU407 in safety?
To operate BU407 transistor safe, don't use it at full power and always keep it 20 per cent below its absolute maximum ratings. Because the transistor's maximum collector current is 7A, do not drive a load that draws more than 560mA. Because the maximum collector to emitter voltage is 200V, no load greater than 160V should be driven. When using a transistor, always utilize a sufficient heatsink. Because the transistor's collector is also linked to the heatsink tab, it's critical to keep the heatsink isolated from circuit connections and to store or operate the transistor at temperatures between -65°C and 150°C.
