P5010 and P5020 Description

The P5020 is based on the e5500 core offering 64-bit functionality and higher levels of efficiency performing at 3.0 Dhrystone MIPS/MHz.

The P5010 is the single core version of the P5 platform and provides a lower power alternative to the P5020. Since the part is a single core derivative it should be noted that the cache hierarchy accounts for a single core processor only.

However, the P5020 and P5010 high performance, flexible I/O and efficient hardware accelerators enable it to address varied markets from industrial control to high-end control plane and networking applications. High-end industrial applications benefit from its 64-bit ISA support to increase performance for computation-intensive applications.
