Fixed Output Regulator

 

1. Substitute voltage value for "XX" to select an output voltage.

2. It is necessary for stability. A solid tantalum capacitor must be used for the stated value. If aluminum electrolytes are utilized, a value of at least 10 times should be chosen. If the regulator is positioned at a significant distance from the power supply filter, C1 is necessary.

3. Enhance transient responsiveness A high current diode from input to output (1N4001 or similar) should be used if big capacitors are utilized to safeguard the device from a momentary input short circuit.
