LM139 Description

The LM139 device consists of four independent voltage comparators that are designed to operate from a single power supply over and a wide range of voltages. Operation from dual supplies also is possible, as long as the difference between the two supplies is 2 V to 36 V, and VCC is at least 1.5 V more positive than the input common mode voltage. Current drain is independent of the supply voltage. The outputs can be connected to other open-collector outputs to achieve wired-AND relationships. The LM139 device is characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of –55°C to 125°C.

LM139 Manufacturer

As a global semiconductor company operating in 35 countries, Texas Instruments (TI) is first and foremost a reflection of its people. From the TIer who unveiled the first working integrated circuit in 1958 to the more than 30,000 TIers around the world today who design, manufacture and sell analog and embedded processing chips, we are problem-solvers collaborating to change the world through technology.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is the threshold voltage of LM139? Does it change according to the voltage applied across it?
LM139 is a 4 comparator, the output voltage is the comparison result of the voltage of the two input terminals, and the output is high when +input>-input. The threshold voltage isn't a matter, it is set by yourself.
2.What’s the difference between LM139 and TL074?
LM139 is a comparator, while TL074 is an operational amplifier.
3.What is the difference between lm139 suffix with j and aj?
The j after LM139j is the package symbol, and j stands for low-temperature glass dual in-line package. LM139aj, aj stands for advanced low temperature glass dual in-line package.
4.What is the difference between LM139 and LF444? Can be interchanged?
LM139 is a four-comparator, and LF444 is a four-op amp, and the order of their pins is different.
5.What is LM139 used to compare?
It is used to compare the input voltage of the positive and negative input terminals, and its output is an open-collector output. Therefore, to output high and low levels, a pull-up resistor must be pulled between the output terminal and the positive power supply.
6.My LM139 is broken, can I replace it with LM339?
The IC parameters of LM139 and LM339 are basically the same, and they can be used interchangeably in the COMS circuit.
