 The LM43603PWPR regulator is a simple synchronous step-down DC-DC converter that can drive up to 3 A of load current from a 3.5 V to 36 V input voltage (42 V abs max). In a relatively small solution size, the LM43603 provides remarkable efficiency, output precision, and dropout voltage. In pin to pin compatible packaging, an extended family is offered in 0.5-A, 1-A, and 2-A load current options. To achieve easy control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting, peak current-mode control is used. Optional features include programmable switching frequency, synchronization, power-good flag, precision enable, internal soft-start, extended soft-start, and tracking make the platform versatile and easy to utilize for a variety of applications. At light loads, discontinuous conduction and automated frequency modulation improve efficiency. The family only requires a few external components, and the pin configuration enables for easy PCB development. Thermal shutdown, VCC under-voltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and output short circuit protection are all included in the protection features.
