LM567 Description

The LM567 is a general purpose tone decoders designed to provide a saturated transistor Resistor switch to ground when an input signal is present within the passband. The circuit consists of an I and Q detector driven by a voltage controlled oscillator which determines the center frequency of the decoder. External components are used to independently set center frequency, bandwidth and output delay.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is the difference between LMC567 and LM567? Can they be used universally?
It cannot be universal, the principle is similar, but the formula for calculating the center frequency is different, because the VOC in the LMC567 is divided into the detector, and the LM567 VOC is not divided into the detector directly. And LMC567 power supply range is wider
2.Which simulation software has the LM567 chip?
Not in EWB, definitely in Proteus, and in Multisim.
3.What are the functions of the two chips, CM8870 and LM567?
(1)The LM567 tone decoder contains a phase-locked loop, which can be widely used in various circuits such as BB machines and frequency monitors. (2)The CM8870 is a DTMF and decoding chip, which realizes the decoding function of dual-tone multi-frequency signals on the communication line. This chip will detect the heard dual-tone multi-frequency signal is converted into a binary four-bit code
4.What’s the working principle of LM567?
It is used for frequency selection below 500KHz. Appropriate selection of R and C to determine the required center frequency. When the input signal frequency is equal to the center frequency, the output is valid low level.
5.Which storehouse does LM567 in Protel?
First of all, you need to know which component is from, and then assign it to the library to find it. The real components of PROTEL are classified by manufacturers. If you can't find it in the library, it is normal, you need to take a caliper to measure and draw.
