Where to use LM741H

The LM741H is a general-purpose amplifier than can be used in a variety of applications and configurations.

One common configuration is in a noninverting amplifier configuration. In this configuration, the output signal is in phase with the input (not inverted as in the inverting amplifier configuration), the input impedance of the amplifier is high, and the output impedance is low. The characteristics of the input and output impedance is beneficial for applications that require isolation between the input and output. No significant loading will occur from the previous stage before the amplifier. The gain of the system is set accordingly so the output signal is a factor larger than the input signal.

The LM741H is also intended for a wide range of analog applications. The high gain and wide range of operating voltage provide superior performance in integrator, summing amplifier, and general feedback applications. The LM741H can operate with a single or dual power supply voltage.

LM741H Manufacturer

As a global semiconductor company operating in 35 countries, Texas Instruments (TI) is first and foremost a reflection of its people. From the TIer who unveiled the first working integrated circuit in 1958 to the more than 30,000 TIers around the world today who design, manufacture and sell analog and embedded processing chips, we are problem-solvers collaborating to change the world through technology.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is LM741H?
The LM741H is a general-purpose operational amplifier which features improved performance over industry standards like the LM709. It is the direct, plug-in replacement for the 709C, LM201, MC1439, and 748 in most applications.
2.What is LM741 used for?
LM741 can be used as a comparator in order to determine the levels of applied input voltages i.e. either smaller or larger input voltages are applied at its input terminal.
3.What is the difference between LM741 and UA741?
Originaly two different manufacturers (now both are TI). LM741 is designed by Texas instrument and UA741 by ST microelectronics. So they differ at the silicon level. They can often be replaced with each other, but not without retesting on all parameters of a product if used in not the most generic operational mode.
4.What advantage does the LM358 have over the LM741?
LM358 has a wider output voltage swing, operates down to a lower supply voltage, is lower noise, and is also a dual (two in one package). It's the obviously preferable part for just about any application.
