MPSA06 Description

The MPSA06 is a general-purpose NPN transistor that's frequently used in amplifiers. With a current of less than 500mA, the transistor can switch voltages up to 80V, making it ideal for low-power switching applications. It has a gain of 100 and is frequently used in audio amplifier circuits.

This NPN transistor also has a PNP counterpart, the MPSA56, making it perfect for push-pull and class B amplifier circuits. Aside from that, a transistor can be used to switch low-power devices.

Where & How to use MPSA06

As previously stated, the MPSA06 is a general-purpose transistor that can be employed in a wide range of applications that fall within its parameters. It can drive loads of up to 500mA when used as a switch, such as relays, LEDs, high-power transistors, ICs, and other circuit components. It can, however, be utilized as an amplifier in audio amplifier circuits as well as for other electrical signal amplification. Because the transistor's transition frequency is 100MHz, it can also be employed in RF circuits below that frequency.

How to Make MPSA06 Safely Long Run in a Circuit?

We always recommend using a component at least 20% below its maximum ratings to get long-term performance, and the MPSA06 transistor is no exception. Because the transistor's maximum collector current is 500mA, do not drive loads that draw more than 400mA, and the maximum load voltage should be less than 64V. Always use a proper base resistor with the transistor and do not store or operate it at temperatures below -55 degrees Celsius and above +150 ℃.
