PIC10F200 Description

The PIC10F200 devices from Microchip Technology are low-cost, high-performance, 8-bit, fully-static,   Flash-based   CMOS   microcontrollers.   They employ a RISC architecture with only 33 single-word/single-cycle instructions.  All instructions are single cycle  (1μs) except for program branches, which take two cycles.   The   PIC10F200   devices deliver performance in an order of magnitude higher than their competitors in the same price category. The12-bit wide instructions are highly symmetrical, resulting in a typical 2:1 code compression over other 8-bit microcontrollers in its class. The easy-to-use and easy-to-remember instruction set reduce development time significantly.

The  PIC10F200  products are equipped with special features that reduce system cost and power requirements. The Power-on Reset (POR) and Device Reset Timer (DRT) eliminate the need for external  Reset circuitry.  INTRC  Internal  Oscillator mode is provided, thereby preserving the limited number of I/O available. Power-saving Sleep mode, Watchdog Timer and code protection features improve system cost, power and reliability.

The  PIC10F200  devices are available in cost-effective Flash, which is suitable for production in any volume. The customer can take full advantage of Microchip's price leadership in Flash programmable microcontrollers while benefiting from the Flash programmable flexibility. The PIC10F200 products are supported by a full-featured macro assembler, a software simulator,  an in-circuit debugger,  a  ‘C’  compiler,  a  low-cost development programmer and a full-featured programmer.  All the tools are supported on IBM® PC and compatible machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.Is there a microcontroller with the same size as PIC10F200?
As far as I know, there is no PIC microcontroller of the type you requested. But I suggest you try PIC10F202. (Internal oscillation 4M, (accuracy 1%) 3 bidirectional I/O ports, one can only be used as input but not output. ROM size is 0.75K. RAM size is 24B. SOT-23 package). The key to your question is the ROM size. The ROM is generally very small for such a small microcontroller. I suggest you try to write the program in assembly language, maybe your system is enough. Only PIC10F220 and PIC10F222 can have an 8M oscillation speed. I suggest you try PIC10F202 first. If it doesn’t work, then you can only change to PIC12F PIC16F series microcontrollers.
2.Why the PIC10F200 program failed to burn?
The reasons are as follows: (1)The microcontroller is broken. (2)The communication line is broken or there is a problem with the line sequence, and the socket pins are not inserted correctly. (3)The burner is hung up.
3.How to improve the frequency stability of PIC10F200 microcontroller?
In addition to using external crystal + capacitors, PCB layout and wiring also have an impact on the signal, and there are other external environment interferences on the circuit board.
