What is S9015?

S9015 is a PNP  type of Bipolar Transistor. This transistor is primarily used for the amplification of low-gain signals. When a low gain signal is amplified to a high gain signal, the noise associated with the signal is enhanced as well. However, this transistor has a low noise feature that filters the noise from the amplified signal, resulting in a low noise and high gain signal at the output. If a small few mill watt input signal is provided, the transistor's maximum collector dissipation is 400mW, which is enough to drive a small 2 to 3 inch 4Ohms or 8Ohms speaker directly.

Where to use S9015?

The S9015 can be utilized for a wide range of applications, including audio preamplification, audio amplification, and signal amplification from low to high gain. It can also be used as a switch to control relays, LEDs, and high-power transistors, among other things. This transistor can be used and wired in the same way that any other BJT transistor can.

How to run S9015 safely?

It is advised that you do not drive a load of more than 100mA and that the load voltage is less than 45V when using SS9015 in your circuits for long-term and good overall performance. Use a base resistor that provides the transistor with the needed input current, and always operate or store the transistor at a temperature between -55 and +150 degrees Celsius.
