SS14 Description

SS14 is a surface mount High Power Schottky Rectifier with a Low voltage drop of 0.5V and a high forward current of 1A.

It is characterized by fast working speed, large current, but low reverse withstand voltage (SS14 only 40V), so it can not be directly replaced with ordinary rectifier tubes (such as 1N4007).

The Diode has high efficiency and High surge current capability of 30A. It is commonly used in high-frequency Inverters, Polarity Protection applications etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is the difference between SS14, SS24 and SS34?
The difference between Schottky diodes SS14, SS24, and SS34 is the maximum forward rectification current. They are 1A for SS14, 2A for SS24, and 3A for SS34. The specific parameters of these two models are as follows: SS14: Maximum reverse peak voltage VRRM=40V, maximum forward rectifier current I(AV)=1A, maximum forward voltage drop VF=0.5V, maximum reverse leakage current IR=20mA. SS24: Maximum reverse peak voltage VRRM=40V, maximum forward rectifier current I(AV)=2A, maximum forward voltage drop VF=0.5V, maximum reverse leakage current IR=20mA. SS34: Maximum reverse peak voltage VRRM=40V, maximum forward rectifier current I(AV)=3A, maximum forward voltage drop VF=0.5V, maximum reverse leakage current IR=20mA.
2.Are S14 and SS14 the same diode?
They just have different packages. They are all commonly used Schottky diodes, and there is no difference in the forward voltage drop, and the forward voltage drop is around 0.2V. Their rated working current is 1A, the withstand voltage of 1N5819 is 40V, and the withstand voltage of SS14 is also 40V.
3.What role does SS14 rectifier diode play in the circuit?
This tube is a Schottky diode, which is often used in various switching power supplies. It is generally used for high frequency rectification or reverse polarity protection in circuits. The high frequency performance of this type of tube is much better than the general 1N4007 diode.
