This NPN transistor also features a counter PNP transistor (SS9015) that can be used to create a push-pull class B amplifier. It also has a good collector dissipation (power dissipation) of 0.4W, which is suitable for driving speakers with a good rating.
Because the transistor's collector current is so low (100mA), it's not recommended for switching or driving circuits. These transistors have been discovered in wireless security cameras and mini-game consoles that require audio pre-amplification.
The SS9014 is widely used in pre-amplifier circuits, but you can create your own circuit to meet your needs. To make a preamplifier with a transistor, choose one with low signal and noise, as well as a decent hfe value and collector dissipation. All of those characteristics appear to be met by the SS9014. The values of resistors R1, R2, R3 and R4 can be calculated by using the value of Vcc, Hfe and Ic. Some useful formulae for calculation is given below:
