What is TL071?

The TL071 is a high-speed JFET input single operational amplifier. This JFET input operational amplifier incorporates well-matched, high-voltage JFET and bipolar transistors in a monolithic integrated circuit. The device features high slew rates, low input bias and offset currents, and a low offset voltage temperature coefficient

Where to use TL071?

The TL071 is a Single Package Operational Amplifier, meaning it has one Op-Amps inside it, this op-amp has many optional features that we will discuss later.

Where to use TL071

The TL071 Op-Amp is distinguished by the use of high-voltage bipolar transistors, which enable the transistor to have a very high input impedance and low bias current. This Op-Amp also features low noise and harmonic distortion, making it an excellent choice for audio pre-amplifiers. Aside from that, these amplifiers can be utilized in high-speed integrators, fast D/A converters, sample and hold circuits, and a variety of other circuits that require low input offset voltage, low input bias current, high input impedance, high slew rate, and broad bandwidth. Low noise and offset voltage drift are also features of the devices.

How to use TL071?

We may use this IC for audio pre-amplification, weigh scales, ECG and medical equipment, and more. Because of its low price relative to its specifications, it can provide a sound quality advantage. A non-inverting op-amp design is illustrated below as an example.

How to use TL071

The TL071 Op-amp is configured as a non-inverting arrangement in the simulated circuit above. The op-gain amp is set to ten. We used a 1K resistor and a 9.1K resistor for that. As you can see, we used a variable potentiometer for the simulation. By varying the potentiometer, we can change the input voltage and thus the output voltage. To power the op-amp, we used +12V and -12V supplies. Because the gain of the op-amp is 10, if we provide 1V at the input, we will get 10V at the output.

TL071 Feature

■ Wide common-mode (up to VCC+) and differential voltage range

■ Low input bias and offset currenT

■ Low noise en = 15 nV/ √Hz (typ)

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of device is a TL071?
The TL071 is a high-speed JFET input single operational amplifier. This JFET input operational amplifier incorporates well-matched, high-voltage JFET and bipolar transistors in a monolithic integrated circuit.
How is offset null used in op amp?
Image result For circuits where it is necessary to remove or null the offset, many op-amp chips provide two pins that enable this to be done. Using the offset null adjustment requires a potentiometer with its wiper connected to the negative supply with some op-amps or to 0 V with others so it is necessary to check the datasheet.
What condition to operate TL071?
Low total harmonic distortion: 0.003% (typ); Wide supply voltage: ± 2.25 V to ± 20 V, and ± 4.5 V to ± 40 V.
