TL082CP Description

The TL082CP is a low cost, high speed, dual JFET input operational amplifier with an internally trimmed input offset voltage (BI-FET II™ technology). It requires low supply current yet maintains a large gain bandwidth product and fast slew rate. In addition, well matched high voltage JFET input devices provide very low input bias and offset currents. The TL082CP is pin compatible with the standard LM1558 allowing designers to immediately upgrade the overall performance of existing LM1558 and most LM358 designs. The TL082CP may be used in applications such as high speed integrator, fast D/A converter, sample and hold circuits and many other circuits requiring low input offset voltage, low input bias current, high input impedance, high slew rate and wide bandwidth. The TL082CP also exhibits low noise and offset voltage drift.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is TL082CP?
The TL082CP is a low cost, high speed, dual JFET input operational amplifier which may be used in applications such as high speed integrator, fast D/A converter, sample and hold circuits and many other circuits requiring low input offset voltage, low input bias current, high input impedance, high slew rate and wide bandwidth. The TL082CP also exhibits low noise and offset voltage drift.
2.Does anyone know of a better alternative to the TL082CP JFET op amp. (audio, low gain, high input impedence, LM1558 compatible)?
Burr-Brown OPA2132, OPA2134, OPA2604, and others depending on your exact needs. Similar dual FET-input parts from other vendors as well.
3.What is an Operational Amplifier (Op-amp)?
An operational amplifier is an integrated circuit that can amplify weak electric signals. An operational amplifier has two input pins and one output pin. Its basic role is to amplify and output the voltage difference between the two input pins.
4.What are the advantages of op amps?
An op-amp circuit buffers the sensor and allows gain or attenuation circuits to be developed. The output of the sensor is non-linear. An inverting op amp circuit gives you a more linear output than a non-inverting op-amp circuit does.
