The TPIC74100QPWPRQ1 is a voltage-mode switch-mode regulator containing integrated switches. The gadget regulates the output to 5 V 3% for a large input-voltage range using external components (LC combo).

 When the 5-V output rail is outside of the specified tolerance, the TPIC74100QPWPRQ1 has a reset function that detects and indicates it. An external timing capacitor on the REST pin can be used to program the reset delay. When the input supply rail Vdriver falls below a prescaled preset value, an alert (AOUT) feature is activated (set by the AIN pin).

To reduce EMI, the TPIC74100QPWPRQ1 utilizes a frequency-modulation technique. The clock modulator allows the switching frequency to be modulated in order to reduce interference energy in the frequency band.
