TSOP4838: Description, datasheet, and features

Vishay's TSOP4838 is a miniaturized infrared receiver module for infrared remote control systems. A PIN diode and a preamplifier are mounted on a lead frame, and an IR filter is housed in an epoxy package. For decoding, the demodulated output signal can be directly connected to a microprocessor. This device is frequently used for remote control.
